Our programming is dynamic and emergent to meet the needs, interests, and personalities of the little ones in our care. The Little heARTs program is designed around artistic investigation with a focus on process to help foster fine motor skills, strengthen executive function, and prime growth mindset thinking.

 

The Little heARTs framework follows the 5 principles of HEART, which allows us establish a class community with shared understandings of what matters most during class sessions: compassion, curiosity, and connection. This framework also creates flexibility for selecting the projects that will engage the students in each class, making every version of this program unique like the littles in our care. From bubble painting, to finger painting, to printmaking, and mixed media explorations, we find ways to lower the barriers to art investigations and connect this process to important everyday skills through story, play, and interactive discussions that gradually build valuable early learner skills.
