Shape Books have been such a hit since their inception 8 years ago. With only two sheets of paper kids are encouraged to plan, cut, contstruct, and design.

We've been amazed that kids as young as Kindergarten have been able to create this (with a bit of help) and that even 4th and 5th graders have enjoyed making this their own (front and back cover are totally optional and easily re-designable).
 
This activity hits a sweet spot for 2nd and 3rd grade. It comes with instructions that are easy to follow. With some basic prompting, they are off to the Shape Book races!
 
It even comes with it's own storage pocket (inspired by many a lost shape books slipping out of our artist's folders). We know they'll love this one!
