When Go Girls! Oakland director Carli Kyles reached out with the idea to collaborate on the expressive arts dimension of their summer programming, we had chills of excitement!
Go Girls! is more than a camp, it's a movement of compassion and creativity; two pillars that drive our heARTful KID's mission, so the collaboration was a no brainer.
This summer is our first year of collaboration and already there is deep resonance in the alignment of the Go Girls! Culture Code (that encourages making mistakes, self-reflection, confidence and collaboration) with the principles in our creativity and character programming. Our mutual focus on social-emotional development through arts integration has sparked an exciting collaboration that we hope will continue for years to come.
